USING FEEDBACK – “YOU DON’T MAKE UGLY THINGS PRETTY JUST BY GIVING FEEDBACK”

Feedback is the primary component of an and all improvement processes. However, it s a myth to believe that provision of feedback alone causes improvement. Not so. In fact the provision of undesired feedback or erroneous feedback can create serious damage.

Likewise, feedback that is misinterpreted can lead to wasted or even damaging effort.

Delegates learn:

  • The importance of context – determining why the feedback is needed;
  • How to elicit, collect, aggregate and integrate feedback;
  • How to interpret feedback and, if needed, to reflect on and investigate it;
  • How to identify what needs to change to achieve improvement;
  • How to plan such change;
  • How to give others useful feedback.
